Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the TableClash website, account system, multiplayer game services, and related support services available through tableclash.com. TableClash is a competitive table-game platform being developed initially around backgammon.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use TableClash, we may process account information such as your email address, password-derived authentication data, display name, username, country selection, account identifiers, account settings, active-session information, and linked sign-in provider identifiers. We also process gameplay and competition information such as matches, moves, results, rankings, ratings, progression, achievements, and integrity-related events.
We may also process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, including IP address, request and connection metadata, device/browser information made available through standard web requests, security logs, timestamps, session identifiers, error logs, and abuse-prevention signals. If you contact support, we process the information you send us and the correspondence needed to respond.
3. Google Sign-In data
If you choose Google Sign-In, TableClash is intended to request only the basic identity scopes needed for authentication: openid, email, and profile. Depending on what Google returns and what is required to maintain your account, TableClash may receive and store Google's stable account identifier, your email address, email-verification status, name, and basic profile information.
TableClash does not use Google Sign-In to access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or the contents of those services. Google identity data is used to authenticate you, find or create your TableClash account, link an identity to your account when you request it, prevent duplicate or fraudulent account use, and protect account security. We do not sell Google user data.
4. How we use information
- to provide accounts, sessions, matchmaking, gameplay, reconnect/resume functionality, rankings, progression, and support;
- to authenticate users and protect accounts and game integrity;
- to operate, debug, monitor, secure, and improve TableClash;
- to prevent abuse, fraud, cheating, unauthorized access, duplicate-session misuse, and other harmful activity;
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable rules or terms.
5. Legal bases
Where EU/EEA or UK data-protection law applies, processing may be based on performance of a contract or steps requested before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where consent is required. The appropriate basis depends on the specific processing activity.
6. Cookies and sessions
TableClash uses security and session technologies necessary to keep you signed in, refresh authenticated sessions, reconnect to games, remember essential settings, and protect the service. Authentication cookies are designed to use security protections such as HttpOnly and SameSite where appropriate.
7. Advertising
TableClash uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and third-party vendors use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to TableClash and other websites. You can control personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info, and learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where consent is legally required for non-essential advertising cookies, they are used only on that basis.
8. Sharing and service providers
We may disclose information to infrastructure, hosting, security, authentication, monitoring, communications, and support providers only as needed to operate TableClash, or when required by law. Authentication providers such as Google process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not sell personal information.
9. International processing
Online services and their providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, we intend to use appropriate legal mechanisms and provider arrangements for those transfers.
10. Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including account operation, game integrity, security, dispute resolution, backup/recovery, and legal obligations. Different categories may have different retention periods. During development, test data may also be deleted or reset as the service evolves.
11. Security
TableClash uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including server-authoritative game logic, restricted database/network access, session controls, rate limiting and abuse protections, logging/monitoring, and backup/recovery controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and to complain to a competent data-protection authority. To make a request, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
13. Children
TableClash is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children in circumstances where parental or guardian consent is required by applicable law. Age and parental-consent controls will be finalized before broad public availability.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as TableClash develops. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, where appropriate, additional notice. The policy will be kept consistent with the actual data practices of the service.
15. Contact
For privacy questions, data requests, or concerns about TableClash, contact [email protected].
